  Well ... we didn't order because we saw what a woman next to us got for a "salad" for 18 Euro..unbelievable, I mean come on at least try to make it look like a salad.

  Incredibly rude staff member. I am a vegetarian but have managed to find many restaurants on Formentera who offer delicious veggie dishes, including veggie paella as well as the more traditional, meat and fish-heavy options. When we arrived at Tanga for an early lunch it was quiet and many of the staff were standing about with seemingly nothing to do, but it still took ten minutes between being seated and anyone coming back to offer us a drink. When the waiter arrived we decided to order drinks and lunch at the same time, at which point he condescendingly mimed a huge exhalation and told us to "calm down." I asked if was possible to have a vegetable paella, or just a plain one without meat or fish and he openly laughed in my face before saying it wasn't possible. The fact that it wasn't possible is not a problem, but the laugher was not good-natured and jovial, it was disparaging and rude. A second waiter came to deliver some water while this was happening, and the first waiter then blatantly relayed my request to him and they shared a snigger and an eye-roll. This was all done in Spanish, but I've found that piss-taking is a universal language and not difficult to translate.

  When the sangria blanco arrived there was no discernible alcoholic content. We're certain that they'd given us some fruit juice, but at this point we just wanted to finish our meals and get the hell out of there.

  our first waiter was very reserved, not unfriendly but I saw that he had no pleasure at all in doing what he was doing. The second one was friendly.

  The avocado salad was delicious. Very little on offer for vegetarians. Don't bother with the sangria unless you speak Spanish - I assume they only take the piss out of Brits.

  An expensive restaurant with a service focusing on groups of people and treating individuals and couples in a rude way. Poor communication skills in English and foreign languages what makes the place feel even more inhospitable.

  We never are any food here and the beer was very expensive but it's worth a visit just for tanga beach which is beautiful, my favourite on the island
